Since you will not be gaining wealth you will also not be able to get enough wealth to win the game by having enough wealth. You'll simply be stuck and have to wait out the timer. You also won't get to finish the Isle of the Apples Quest or the Last expedition quest or the escaped thralls quest. there is no way for you to get enough power to launch your invasion. without Dun Phris, the Legion and a couple of other characters you meet in Perth and the Swamp and Yngilwood etc. There is no other way to get the Heathen Army quest and honestly no other way to gather enough strength otherwise. So you have to carry their quests through at least one side. Without the these ally quests you will not gain access to Dun Phris, however you need Dun Phris to support their indepedance to trigger the Great Heathen army quest which is the one you want. If you do not do their quests (especially the Northumbrian ones) you can't progress. It's not meant to be flippant but you just can't. I know I can backstab them later, but that's only because I've played the game before. ![]() The one in Perth offers me an alliance as well, though I have to proof myself first. His rival in the woods offers me an alliance, which I didn't accept. The one in Orkney said I should just leave. He talks about him gathering an army, but it takes time. I fought his group and won, not killing anyone. Originally posted by Reffy:Can someone help me with this? I went to Scarborough and attacked everything, then I went to Steinn the Clever.
